Device Change

Your license is bound to one machine at a time. You can move it to another machine up to twice per year, after which a manual review is required (USD 10 per change).

Self-service (within quota)

1. On the new machine, install ATAS Bridge and launch it once.
2. The desktop will detect no active license and ask for an email + verification code.
3. Enter the same email used at payment.
4. The old machine’s license is deactivated and the new machine is activated.
5. The token counter resets for the year.

What happens to the old device

• The device row for the old machine is marked is_active = 0.
• All JWTs for the old device are added to the KV revocation list.
• The new device row is created or reactivated.

Manual review (over quota)

If the self-service form refuses, your request is queued for PendingReview state. Email [email protected] with:

• Order ID (in your activation email)
• The fingerprint SHA-256 of the new device (the Bridge app shows this)
• The fingerprint SHA-256 of the old device

A USD 10 fee applies per manual rebind.

Why we limit changes

Each license is a single use, lifetime. Limiting device changes prevents the license from being shared around trivially while still being fair to the legitimate “I bought a new laptop” case.
